When zoomed in at 200%, is text intact, readable, and not cut off?
Answer: Sometimes
Score: 1
Notes: The text is intact and readable, but when I went to select options from a dropdown list, they seemingly didn't appear. Then, when I scrolled down to 100%, I could see the options were actually there, on the right of the menu. At 200% I couldn't see the options, nor was there a scroll bar at the bottom of the window indicating that I should scroll to the right to see the options. See attached file below.
Are images clear and unpixelated at 200%?
Answer: Always
Score: 2
Notes:
Is horizontal scrolling minimized at 200%?
Answer: Never
Score: 0
Notes: I don't seem to have an option to scroll horizontally, but I definitely need that option as dropdowns open on the side of the page outside of the viewing area.
Do text and images have a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1?
Answer: Sometimes
Score: 1
Notes: The whole footer is rife with contrast errors - white text on dark grey background. In addition, a lot of the prompts - Next Article, Login to Comment - are white text on a blue background, come up as contrast errors. The majority of the pages are white with black text, and they seem fine. Every page that I checked had over 20 contrast errors - ranging from 21 to 29 - but since 18 of these alone are in the footer, you are already at almost 20 before the page content loads. So aside from footer, this resource is not too bad for contrast errors, but the footer is a big one, as it's present on every page.
